Los Tacos has been around OKC a LONG time. Call ahead because they are busy. Prices are good and potions are large. I think they have changed their cheese lately and I wish they would go back but its still good.

I love this place. The burritos are soooo big. I finally made it to the south side today so I decided to stop by, it's been about a year or longer since I had it, the lady at the counter was really rude. And super sweaty which was gross. But aside from that my burrito was good as always and I prefer it over chipotle or any other burrito place.

Not everything has to be "authentic mexican". Their burritos are awesome as they have been for decades. Tacos and burgers are great. Only downside is customer service which is akin to the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld. The little cups of extra sauce should be free with an order and refills should be free, or at least dirt cheap. But, I'll be back again and again for the delicious food.

I can't believe how flavorless this please was!!! It's cheap though, if you need something in your belly and don't care that it tastes like paper go right ahead. The lady at the register was pretty unkempt also.

If you love meat filled burritos & tacos then you too will love this place as I do. I always call ahead and don't forget the CASH and just walk in and you are on your way fast. Very friendly people.

Los Tacos is definitely a one of a kind taste experience! Don't let the name fool you. The burritos are their claim to fame. Not authentic Mexican or even Tex-mex, it is a uniquely wonderful type of food. They had humongous burritos before this latest "big burrito fad". Once you try it and are hooked, every burrito you taste for the rest of your life will be compared to Los Tacos. If any burrito is even close to theirs, it will only cause you to crave the real deal more intensely than ever. Their salsa is delectable. It's worth paying extra to get enough to drown everything in. A word about their nachos. Nothing like any other. A nacho is a flat, crispy tostada with melted cheddar cheese and chopped jalapeno peppers on top. I recommend the combination nacho. Same as above, but with delicious beans and lots of ground beef under the melted cheddar. When I first went to Los Tacos it was 1972. You walked up to the window, placed your order and went back to the car to listen to your am radio until they waved at you to let you know your food was ready. No matter how busy they were, they never waved at the wrong car! I'm happy to say the taste today is the same as it was "back in the day" Viva Los Tacos!

It's become fashionable for big burritos and these guys have always had big delicious burritos. Their food is not for everyone the flavor unique. It's more of a home cooking diner to go quality If you try it and like it you'll be hooked. These guys have been around since 72. I think I first ate there around 82 at there old location on 44th and was glad to see there return to a new location on 89th.

Don't. How this place stays in business is beyond me. There's more American food then there is Mexican food. That alone should be sign enough not to eat here. Their combo burrito which supposedly they sell the most of was bland and tasteless as was the queso. Oh and would you like a refill on your drink? $1! No dining, just seating to wait for your order. Go to... Well, anywhere else.

I've been coming here for years. Always great burritos. The only downside is the cash only part. I always call ahead and they are very good about when the order will be ready. Very handy if you need to pick up dinner after running around all day.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
